Book Trope Lists for Your Perusal  (IN PROGRESS)

Are you a reader who finds themselves craving underserved tropes? Or even popular tropes but you want to read more independently published books and don’t know which have elements you like? Or you’re looking for a book for marketing research … or for a friend who likes XYZ … Or because you’re a parent who wants to find something for their child?

Hopefull I’ve got you.

What qualifies a book for this post?

In this post I will be including books that are independently published that I have read and enjoyed and I will be sorting them by tropes and elements they include. 

This can be things like "enemies to lovers" or elements like "disabled protagonist" or "good books for (age group)." 

Can I add my book or a book I read to this list?

Short answer: No.

I want this to books I read and can recommend wholeheartedly. I do not have time to read every book someone might add to the list. That said, I hope to include a social element to these posts via Substack where readers can COMMENT their suggestions for books that would fit one or more lists and then readers can skim the comments for those. It might take me a little while to figure out how to set that up. 

What about THIS trope you don't have a list for yet?

If you see a trope I missed, it could be because I just didn't think of it ... or it might be because I haven't read enough books with that trope/element to justify a list. I am happy to take suggestions for new lists, but cannot promise I will actually be able to create them.

Are the books on these lits guaranteed to be "clean?"

That depends on your definition of "clean." I tend to read and write up to PG-13 so some of these books might not be "squeaky" clean, but I don't think anyone would find these "R-rated." That said, I'm not promising these are all something you could give to a nine-year-old or a sensitive grandmother.
